SMS Takes On THK (Hard Mode)
Hoping to be the first ones to beat it in Hard Mode. We immediately formed a guild group to tackle our favorite mission of Prophecies.
After what I like to call a "trial run" we adjusted a build or two and went in again.  We cleared the city without much of a problem, though the Gnashers death swarms were nasty. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...t1257/thk1.jpg We than cleared out the fort and with careful aggroing it was just as easy as in regular mode. However you should probably remember to have your armor infused  http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...t1257/thk2.jpg We decided to do bonus and after lighting the torches one of the first groups dropped a warrior tomb.  A bit later, the necro boss dropped a scroll to the underworld!   After a long wait, Confessor Dorrians group FINALLY showed it's face. Dorrian was level 26 and his group consisted of level 25s. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...t1257/thk5.jpg We took him down pretty easily.  We did some exploring after that and finished up the mission.   Overall the mission in hard mode wasn't as hard as we had expected. The enemies did more damage and deathly swarm was extra "deathly" but we really didn't have to bad of a time with it. Drops were good also. Almost every enemy was dropping SOMETHING and there were a lot of purples and about 6-7 golds. Also, all the bosses except for Confessor Dorrian were level 30 but the level increase didn't make to much of a difference.  (Oh, and hope this was important enough for it's own thread since THK is the classic mission that everyone use to have trouble with back in the day  )

Yeh we formed a group right after the patch.....it wasn't hard whatsoever.
Hopefully someone does a writeup on the rest of the 2 year old missions. |
